Manchester Digital: Championing Tech

Supporting the digital ecosystem through community, representation, and promotion

Manchester Digital is a not for profit trade body, whose mission is to support and develop the technology sector in the city and wider region. It’s the largest independent specialist trade body in the North of England, made up of a community of the full range of digital businesses – from startup to corporate.

By understanding the collective interests of its members, Manchester Digital provides a cohesive voice for the digital sector, representing its views at both local and national levels, and working to improve the industry in 5 key areas:

    1. A healthy digital ecosystem – fostering collaboration between different parts of the region’s ecosystem, with cross industry cohesion and a stronger relationship between education and business
    2. Talent and skills – developing the talent pipeline, including fixing gaps in the education system and upskilling the current workforce
    3. Innovation – promoting access to emerging technologies, and advising companies about how to turn their ideas into commercial realities
    4. Infrastructure – lobbying to open up the infrastructure market, encouraging new providers and building better solutions
    5. Profile and promotion – celebrating the successes of Manchester as a hotbed for digital innovation, telling its stories and promoting its strengths
