Rioch Edwards-Brown is the Founder of So You Wanna Be In TV? a grass roots social enterprise set up after her son was shot and stabbed while in school and addresses the skills gap and lack of diversity in TV. Rioch has diversified in a range of sectors including tech, So You Wanna Be In Tech? was launched in 2016. Sponsors include, The Guardian, Tech London Advocates, Procurious, Sony Pictures Television, BT Sport, ITV and MIPCOM. Rioch has extensive experience engaging diverse Gen Y & Gen Z talent, future proofing FTSE100 and Fortune500 brands in the TV, tech and creative industries. A Diversity, Gen Y & Gen Z Expert, Rioch was named UK Changemakers by London Tech Week 2018, One of 50 Most Influential Women In UK Tech 2017, she also won a Propeller TV (UK & China) Award for Innovation, the ‘Hero Of The Year’ at the European Diversity Awards and Entrepreneur Of Excellence at the UK National Diversity Awards. Over 2,800 diverse and disadvantaged young Londoners have benefitted and 68% of those mentored entered the industry. She is a member of TLA CreateTech and TLA Edtech with over 100 media appearances with the BBC, ITV, Sky and printed press.
